Using Text Tools to Fill Your Documents

Remember how you used to fill in PDFs by hand, printing them, and scanning them, and sometimes sending them by mail to get them where you needed them to go? Then you discovered PDFfiller and our online editor – the essential part of our software that lets you fill, type on, edit, and annotate your PDFs online.

Within the time it took you to fill your first form, you probably realized the advantages of filling PDFs online. Not only did it save you tons of time, but it also helped you create legible, professional-looking forms which you could send to recipients online!

Getting Started Filling Your Forms

PDFfiller’s PDF Editor is still the same great tool with the same excellent features, but you no longer have to toggle between tabs to have all our document editing tools at your fingertips. When you open a form from MyDocs, your document will upload into the Editor with all the tools at your disposal in a single panel:

To start typing on your PDF, place the cursor and begin typing. Or if you are using a fillable form, you can simply type in the blank field, and navigate between fields by using the arrow or the tab keys.

To choose your font type, click the box with the current font name in the toolbar and choose from the dropdown menu. Select your font size by clicking the number right next to the font and selecting from the dropdown list. You can bold, italicize and underline by clicking the corresponding icon, and change the color by clicking the black box the right of the other font tools.

Once you’ve added text or other content, drag the arrow above it to move your content around the document. To resize the text, just click the tree icons.
